Depending on your particular tradition, there are many different ways you can celebrate Ostara, but typically it is observed as a time to mark the coming of Spring and the fertility of the land. 4/1/19 : April Fool's Day
Indulge your playfulness today!
Observed on the first day of April, April Fool’s Day is a day in which people play practical jokes and good-natured pranks on each other. This day isn’t a holiday in any of the countries that it is observed, but is has been popular since the nineteenth century, nonetheless.
Many historians believe that this day can be traced directly to the Hilaria Festivals that were celebrated during the Vernal Equinox in Rome. However, since this festival occurred in March, many people believe that the earliest recording of this day came from Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales in 1392. In this edition is a story about a vain cock being tricked by a crafty fox on April 1st. Hence, spawning the practice of playing practical jokes on this day.

6/21/19 : 9:54 AM MST : Summer Solstice
The Earth is tilted approximately 23.5°. The tilt of the axis does not (perceptibly) change over the course of the year. As the Earth revolves around the Sun, the area receiving direct solar radiation, the sub-solar point, moves from the Tropic of Capricorn (December solstice) to the Tropical of Cancer (June solstice). Every location north of 23.5°N latitude, which includes all of the U.S. and Canada (except Hawai'i), receives the most solar energy on the summer solstice, and also has the most hours of daylight.

We live in a time where we are divided, in our minds & hearts, & more than ever by our borders. Border security is important & we at Lead with Love are not making a political statement, but a moral one. The right to live a life of safety and dignity is not equal for all. Today, men, women and children are fleeing their homes and everything they know south of our border with hopes of survival and a brighter future for their children.
In the face of the unknown, we know that we have a choice and at Lead With Love, we choose to turn towards those who are suffering and to lean in, even when we aren’t exactly sure how.
Monetary contributions, gift cards, clothing, hygiene products, and accessories are greatly appreciated by refugee families. Often they are traveling with just the clothing on their back and will be heading to colder climates.
