Love in Action : Week 5

Love in Action : Wednesday 12-1pm mst

Please join Lead with Love for zoom work sessions each week that highlights current issues related to social justice, civic engagement, environmental stewardship and child advocacy that need of our help. We will provide tangible actions and perform these efforts within the 1 hour meeting.

This week our efforts will focus on tools for the heart-centered activist with special host, Doctor Neha.

This feels like an especially unpredictable moment. In the midst of a health pandemic, economic fallout, national racial reckoning and tenuous election, we have a lot of pressing factors and a lot of triggers for anxiety. While the urgency of the moment, may inspire us to rise up as an agent of change, we are most effective when we can make deliberate efforts by focusing on response rather than reaction.

For the activists who are choosing to operate from a heart-centered space, Lead with Love is partnering with Doctor Neha to offer tools that will help you return to calm, thoughtfulness and determination. Your self care may be a superpower that enables you to forge ahead to actively care for the causes about which you feel most passionate.

During this hour-long training session you will be led by a world-class physician and best-selling author of “Talk Rx” to look inward at your own strengths and areas for growth to regain lost energy and create the stamina and enthusiasm needed to be an effective agent for change. We will investigate the motivation for our advocacy and ways to shift from fear, judgment and anxiety to a renewable energy of service.

Anxiety and Activism

black-rule-1.png

As activists, we are confronted by the issues facing our world today. This can be some scary stuff. Sometimes, the fear might get the better of us and the biology of anxiety may take over. However, if we are able to observe and manage these anxieties, it can enable us to use a clearer mind and communication as we stay active and present in our efforts.
