Hello friends.

Lead with Love is excited to welcome our new Executive Director, Anne White.

Please get to know her in her own words:

I grew up in the suburbs of Washington D.C., and along the banks of the Chesapeake Bay where much of my family heritage originates. My childhood was spent exploring the Potomac River, rollerblading along the National Mall, visiting Williamsburg, Jamestown, boating the tributaries of the Bay, and digging for clay on islands just off-shore.

It wasn’t long before I started to take an interest in the social configurations of our country, spending most weekends during my teens in D.C. serving at Soup Kitchens and passing out blankets to the homeless on cold evenings.

I was very interested in culture, religion, human expression, and experiencing the way people lived throughout the world and took a particular interest in travel spending time in Asia, Nepal, India, Thailand, Europe, and Central America. I studied philosophy, history and religion, receiving my undergraduate degree in Art History and Historic Preservation, and a Master’s in Education Administration. I have two children, Maya -- 17 and Matteo – 15. Both are students at Colorado Rocky Mountain School. I spent years studying meditation and mindfulness through the Shambala Center in Boulder, and have been a life-long yoga student completing a teacher training through True Nature Healing Arts.

My professional life has included Executive Director of an international organization for at-risk and underprivileged youth, Executive Director of an organization addressing Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Child Abuse, Head of School for a PK-8 Waldorf school in Carbondale, and co-founder of an online virtual platform highlighting Global Villages and Museums. I have worked on various environmental initiatives through a secondary political life, and I am GRATEFUL (albeit challenged) to be alive during this intense time on Planet Earth!

I couldn’t be more excited to be stepping in as Executive Director of Lead with Love. Having spent most of my adult life addressing pressing issues – poverty, systemic racial injustices, violence, environmental deterioration – I realize we need a shift in our consciousness, a shift in our understanding of how we know and experience ourselves individually and collectively; one that holds the promise of a bright future. Everywhere we look we see indicators calling us to make this shift. The solutions are available to us from a place addressing the challenges, and by expanding our sense of self, purpose, and humanity.

With Space Travel in our purview, we can take in the opportunity it provides -- an awareness and experience of what the astronauts call ‘orbital perspective’. Seeing our planet from space causes a shift in awareness; to see the earth as one incredibly beautiful, breathtakingly beautiful planet without borders that we are all part of -- one Spaceship Earth, flying through space together, as a team.

Lead with Love will support the development of an Inner Space Exploration to grow our orbital perspective internally, effecting how we work with one another and in the world. We do this through a simple process of shifting our experience from one of fear (our limited selves) to one of love (our interconnectedness, gratitude, and awe for life).

Gina Murdock, our founder, tapped into an archetypal development emerging. She, alongside a remarkable team including Jess, Erica, Abby and Nicole have laid the foundation for this work. I look forward to bringing my best in service of this emerging consciousness as I work alongside each of you. Together, we can grow a bright future by letting Love be our guide!
